The old military battery J4 of Cabo Silleiro was built after the Civil War and came into service at the beginning of the 40s as a coastal battery to protect the entrance of the Ria de Vigo and Baiona. Underground 200 meters of galleries are hidden loaded with thousands of histories, by which they passed young people who realized the military service, later to the dissolution of the Regiment of Coast in 1979, with the end of the Francoism. When the military service ceased to be obligatory, the activity in the area was terminated.
