Three meat production companies – JBS, Cargill and Tyson – emitted more greenhouse gases last year than all of France, and almost as much as some of the biggest oil companies, such as Exxon, BP and Shell. Few meat and dairy companies calculate or publish their climate emissions. So, for the first time in history, we have calculated the emissions of corporations related to the breeding of animals using the most comprehensive methodology created to date by FAO.
