Scientists from the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences excavated the burials of the fifth century BC. C. in the Taman Peninsula and discovered a Greek bronze helmet of the Corinthian type, like the one used by soldiers in the days of classical Greece, in which the sculptors portrayed Pericles and the goddess Athena. This is the first such find on the north coast of the Black Sea.
