By the middle of the last century electric cars had almost disappeared. But not all were resigned to giving them up for dead, and in 1946 the first Spanish electric car was manufactured: the DAR. The car was designed by Francisco Domínguez-Adame Romero (Sevilla, 1905-1987), who in just over five months was commissioned to design it, build it by hand with the help of his family and enroll it.
